FREE GUIDED WALKS - Take advantage of the expertise of volunteer guides by taking one of these free guided walks. Bookings are not required. Botanic Gardens Mount Coot-tha, 152 Mount Coot-tha Rd, Mount Coot-tha. City Botanic Gardens, Alice St, Brisbane City. Roma Street Parklands, 1 Parkland Boulevard, Roma Street Parkland, Brisbane City. Guided walks of approximately 1 hour duration depart from the visitors centre hub at each location daily at 11am and 1pm (except Sunday and public holidays).

Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens, 230 Ashmore Rd, Benowa. Volunteers offer free guided walks on the 1st Sunday and 3rd Wednesday of the month and at other times by prior arrangement. Guided walks for special interest groups are also available for a small fee. Phone 0449 561 674.

Cairns Botanic Gardens, 78-96 Collins Ave, Edge Hill. Free guided walks of 1-1.5hrs duration depart from the Friends House, Monday- Friday at 10am.

Many regional parks and botanic gardens offer self-guided walks that locals and visitors can take at their leisure. Maps and information are available onsite.

Monthly Meetings
  Aspley Orchid Society Inc. Meets on first Thursday night of the month at 7.30pm and third Thursday morning of the month at 9.30am (except Dec -Jan) at Wavell Heights Community Hall at 175 Edinburgh Castle Road Wavell Heights. Visitors welcome. Learn tips to grow your orchids. Our members are happy to help. Each meeting features a guest speaker and orchid competition. Our New Growers & Improvers Group provides practical advice.

  Australasian Native orchid Society KABI group monthly meetings. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm except January at the Geebung RSL club, 323 Newman Road Geebung, upstairs in the Newman room usually just look for our banner. Visitors are always welcome. Come along to one of our meetings and talk to other native orchid growers, learn more about your native Orchids how to grow the different species and hybrids and listen to interesting guest and local speakers. Bimer Bonsai Club Inc has its monthly meeting on the first Saturday of the month except January. If you are new to bonsai and would love to increase and share your knowledge or are just curious you are welcome to attend. We meet at the Wavell Heights Community Hall in Edinburgh Castle Road, Wavell Heights. Meetings may include a guest demonstrator, display of members trees and workshops. Northern Districts Horticultural Society’s Monthly Meetings. If you are a garden lover or gardener and you would like to increase and share your knowledge you would be most welcome to attend the Northern Districts Horticultural Society’s Monthly Meetings held on the last Monday of each month. We meet at the Wavell Heights Community Hall in Edinburgh Castle Road, Wavell Heights. Floral Art Society of Queensland Inc. is a society for those who love flower arranging and floral design. The society & aims to promote participation & enjoyment of Floral Art through floral shows, displays & demonstrations. Meetings are held on the 4th Monday of each Month at 9.30 a.m. at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha Auditorium, Mt. Coot-tha Road Toowong. Cactus & Succulent Society of Qld Inc. Meetings are held on the last Monday of the month at the Salisbury Senior Citizens Centre, 87 Cripps st, Salisbury. The Stafford Garden Club. The OES Hall, cnr Kitchener Rd and Bohland St, Kedron. The club meets every third Thursday of each month (Feb to Nov). We meet at 9.30am to have a cuppa, to buy from the trade table and to view displays. Our meeting starts at 10 am. Our motto is: “Friendship through Gardening”. Visitors are welcome. 
Queensland Orchid Society. Meets at 10.15am every second Monday of the month (Except Jan & Dec). Meetings are held at Belmont International Shooting Complex, 1485 Old Cleveland Road, Belmont. Visitors are always welcome. A light lunch is also provided. Come along to one of our Meetings and talk to other orchid growers, learn more about your Orchids and listen to interesting Speakers.
